GENERAL
What is the PIN number?
The PIN number is your unique numerical identifier, similar to a password. It is printed on your conference registration badge. You will only have to enter your PIN the very first time you use the drive for activation.
I got my PIN number at the conference, but it says I am not in the system.
If your PIN number does not start with a zero, add a zero to the beginning of the number -- or, if it does have a zero, try removing the zero. In addition, make sure you have not left any spaces after the number when you type it in the box. Use the mouse to click "Enter >>" when you have finished typing your number.

PRESENTATIONS
How can I transfer a presentation to my Portameeting drive?
You can transfer presentations onto the PortaMeeting drive
from the “my
Symposium” section. First, click the “my Symposium” button
at the top of your screen. You will now see the “All Presentations” screen
that features the Symposium agenda. Scroll through the agenda to find the presentation you wish
to view. Select the desired presentation by clicking on the
appropriate line.
By doing so, the presenter’s name, presentation title
and session appear in the Presentation Control Bar above.
Click “Transfer Now” to begin loading the presentation
onto the device.
When will all presentations be available to my PortaMeeting
drive?
All Symposium presentations will be available for transfer
the Monday immediately following the meeting.
I tried to transfer a presentation and it didn't work. Why?
There are four reasons why you may not have been able to
transfer the presentation:
1. During the Chemotherapy Foundation Symposium, you will
only be able to access presentations at the user stations
adjacent to the exhibitor hall. You will not be able to access
presentations from any other location other than these stations
until the Monday immediately following the meeting.
2. If you are using your PortaMeeting drive to access presentations
after the meeting, please ensure you have an active Internet
connection when trying to access new presentations. It is
not necessary to open a browser, enter a URL or visit a web
site. An Internet connection is not needed to view presentations
already existing on the device.
3. If your PortaMeeting drive is too full, you will not be
able to load a presentation. The PortaMeeting drive will
provide notification indicating both the amount of available
space currently on the drive, and the amount of space needed
in order to access the desired presentation(s). You can also
determine the amount of remaining space any time by looking
at the indicators in the upper right hand corner of the interface.
4. If your computer is behind a firewall, your secure network
may not allow connection to our presentation server. Please
try again from another computer or location, or consult your
network administrator. back to top
Can I transfer presentations to my hard drive?
Presentations are encrypted as a consideration to presenters
and may not be transferred to a hard drive, any other storage
device or through a network. They are only accessible and/or
readable from the PortaMeeting drive.
How can I delete a presentation on my PortaMeeting drive?
The “My Drive Files” section allows you to manage
all of your transferred presentations. Click “My Symposium” from
the main menu bar, and then select the “My Drive Files” tab.
Highlight the presentation in the File Manager by clicking
the line with your mouse. You may now delete the presentation
by selecting the “Delete” button. When prompted
whether you would like to continue deleting the presentation,
select “OK” to delete.
How do I view a presentation?
You may view a presentation via the following two methods:
1. Click “My Symposium” from the main menu, and
then select the “View Presentations” tab. You
will be able to select the desired presentation for viewing
from the drop-down menu.
2. The “My Drive Files” section allows you to
manage all of your transferred presentations. Click “My
Symposium” from the main menu, and then select the “My
Drive Files” tab. Highlight the presentation you would
like to view from the File Manager and click “View
Presentation” to view the slides and listen to the
presentation audio.
You may scroll through thumbnail views or click the back
and next buttons to select a slide. Please note that your
input is required to advance, recede or select slides randomly.
You can always use the presentation scrub bar to fast forward
or rewind, as well as use the “Full Screen” and “Window
View” buttons for your viewing preference. back to top
How can I search for a specific Presentation or adjust my
viewing parameters?
In the “My Symposium” section, you are able
to view the Symposium agenda in the “All Presentations” tab,
and the File Manager in the “My Drive Files” tab.
You will see a “View | Search” button above the
listed presentations.
Click “View | Search”. By default, your agenda
and File Manager reflect all presentations either made at
the conference or loaded on your drive. You can filter these
presentations by selecting a specific day or session you
would like to view.
By utilizing the Search field, you can search for a specific
presentation within the Conference Agenda. The text you enter
will search all dates, names, titles, keywords and sessions.
How can I sort the Symposium Schedule or File Manager?
While viewing the Symposium agenda or your drive files in
the “My Drive Files” section, you may organize
the information and sort by category, just like your email
software. Click on the category title: “Date”, “Name”, “Title” or ““Session”.
You’ll notice that the schedule re-sorts according
to the selected category. You may click the category title
again to re-sort alphabetically from A to Z or Z to A.
Why can't I hear the audio presentation?
If you cannot hear the audio portion of the presentation,
check your computer’s sound control panel to make
sure your computer is not muted, and that your volume and
wav settings are turned up. Additionally, check your speakers
to make sure they are plugged in and the volume is up.
